I am no stranger to fanfic involving NFT and the Skibber (not the NC-17 stuff so much, but as peripheral characters). Reading the following tweets from the two of them from the last few days is like reading one of those fanfics. Some of you are either channeling or taking an incredibly good guess. I still think their friendship is so odd and interesting ... I'm riveted, I can't help it. This is not stalking. ;)

DC got his hair did according to twitter today. That's one of my favorite jokes ever. I had to stop saying it because nobody knew what the hell I was saying. I <3 you David!!

Yes, I hate cats. My fingers are itching to post this, but I can't post it to FaceBook because I have a close friend who has 7 - yup! 7 - cats. And one outdoor cat she feeds and is a regular feeder of feral felines. Yes, that is a real thing. I think it's fucking crazy and, after reading the above article, I stand firm on that belief.

However, as I do love her very much and did speak my mind on the whole cat thing one time ... to disastrous effect (Honestly, I'm amazed she still talks to me; I've never been that mean in my life. She had 5 cats at the time and had just taken in 2 kittens, which she promised to find homes for. She was sooooo lying about that last part and I totally called her on it. I thought a slap of reality might knock some sense into her. Turns out that it was just a slap and I have been apologizing ever since.). All of which means that I tread very lightly on the subject of cats around her.

Nevertheless, vindication (and validation) like this needs to be posted somewhere.

Ahhh, I feel better now.

THANK YOU! for noticing the NFT hug. I made sure I was on the NFT side and when I saw that, I started crying. I saw that really close. I'd still love to see the expressions on their faces better.

DC is a giant marshmallow on the outside, NFT is one on the inside. This was one moment where they made marshmallow goo together ... and there's just so much history.

OK, I am going to repost here what I posted on DCO about it. I haven't been on DCO in months because that site crashes my laptop every time and it did today. But, last show and all ...

alrighty, here's what I wrote about that:

"I'm still looking for pics of NFT and DC at the end. The look he gave NFT and their hug. It totally made me cry. And DC and Andy. David knows, I believe, that he owes them just as much as AI for his success. They supported him in Tulsa, introduced him to the music scene there and NFT? DCTR wouldn't be what it is without him, I believe. And no one knows that more than David, who was bouncing around on the AI tour and leaving a lot in NFT's hands .... literally.

NFT is such a badass, but when he looks at DC, you can see the giant marshmallow center, which I never get tired of seeing. One of my favorite moments of the concert was over in an instant. Some girls shouted "Neil Effing Tiemann" and he raised his hand to them in the classic guitar god salute. I think - somewhere on this tour - NFT has figured out that he's a star ... finally. Especially in the last few shows. And that moment was just the perfect acknowledgment of that fact. I was so excited. That and when he licked his guitar again ... I didn't mind that, NGL. Not that I made sure I was on the NFT side this time or anything. *whistles*"

There was also a moment when DC is saying to the band that he didn't want to do it with anyone else ... and he's looking right at NFT ... then he hands the Mike to Andy to sing Til I'm Blue. OMG.

The sound is terrible at the beginning, so jump ahead. At 1:33, you see NFT raise his arm like I described. That is the moment. You can barely hear the women screaming because DC is talking. It was pretty awesome.
